Eg Yed Yeb̄ (/jid/ /jebb/ [ward] [bracket]) is a subtropical Town located in the Cåläruf Provence of the Kingdom of Hobben.

The name Eg Yed Yeb̄ is derived from the Dwarven language, as Eg Yed Yeb̄ was founded by Trtesí Hub̄qug, who was culturaly Dwarvern.

Climate

Eg Yed Yeb̄ has a yearly average temperature of 30°C (86°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a blistering 35°C (95°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 25°C (77°F). Eg Yed Yeb̄ was founded durring the early 10th century, by Trtesí Hub̄qug. The establishment of Eg Yed Yeb̄ suffered from several major issues, resulting in the need to develop many solutions to basic problems. Problems such as a lack of fresh water, logistical support, poor quality tools, and the odd monster or two. Howeaver, these were overcome in time.

Eg Yed Yeb̄ was built using the conventions of Dwarvern durring the early 10th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Eg Yed Yeb̄ is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature masoned stone construction which prominantly features pointed arches, pointed ribbed vault cielings, flying buttress', and window tracery all of which share a simmilar gemoetetic patern halfway between organic and inorganic in design formaing a very distinct aesthetically integrated style. BUildings tend to reach for the havens, and more expencive homes are easily identified by their floor count as well as the addition of decorative features intigrated into the building's design such as statues, gargoyals, and embelished joinery.

Eg Yed Yeb̄ is buildings are arranged arround a network of broad flagstone streets which form a grid, where each square verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller square has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The town sits behind a stone-renforced palisade wall, with stone gatehouses and timber drawbridges for their trench. The would-be-castle fortifications has suffered a visible ammount of structural damage, leaving them effectivly useless. One can't help but wonder why the has not yet effected repairs.

Even the most brief look arround Eg Yed Yeb̄ has a good chance of putting a church or shrine into the center of your view. The town is most certainly a god fearing community. It’s also definitely a god loving community. THe streetcornors are occupied by preachers, with the occasional intersection playing host to an actually friendly debate relating to the merits of various gods. Even the less popular as well as the less politically loved gods seem to have a space in Eg Yed Yeb̄, there’s even shrines to gods known to the region only through hearsay.

Civic Infrastructure

Eg Yed Yeb̄ has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Eg Yed Yeb̄. Eg Yed Yeb̄ has a first rate hospital which caters to anyone in need of long term medical care.

Eg Yed Yeb̄ has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Eg Yed Yeb̄'s natural decorations nor waterways.

Cultural Notes

There’s more than one leader in Eg Yed Yeb̄, but at least some of them are at each other’s throats. It might be a conflict between formal leadership and informal authorities, or it could be a struggle among civil officials. Their interests might diverge sharply, or it could be a personal grudge that’s boiled over. Outside threats and internal problems are likely being ignored until the power struggle is resolved.

Eg Yed Yeb̄'s town hall was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is known for its buildings being predominantly formed through the combination of basic geometric shapes. However, it shown in the detailing given to the structures such as its characteristic tall columns, intricate detail, symmetry, harmony, and balance in their designs to an astonishing degree of precision.
